Coaches’ involvement in NIL is growing. The reasons for this range from their increased understanding of NIL (and comfort talking about it) to their recognition of its important role in recruiting.

When it comes to reasons that student-athletes are transferring, NIL is #5 and trails behind 1) lack of playing time, 2) desire to play for a different coach, 3) desire for a different team culture, 4) desire for a different social environment on-campus.
