NIL's Impact on the $500+ Billion Sports Industry

NIL’s impact is being felt across the $500+ billion sports industry

When I started this newsletter a few years ago, my mission was to make my readers smarter about NIL. I felt that if I could elevate their understanding of NIL by 1% per week, those readers could apply that knowledge to range a of use-cases from educating student-athletes to starting new NIL-focused businesses.

Today, those few hundred subscribers are now over 34,000+ and I hope once in a while I’m able to write something that packs more punch than just a 1% difference. This week is one of those weeks! I think this is a 5%-er 😄!

The reason I think so is that I’m providing some insight into the impact of NIL that has gone largely unnoticed: NIL’s impact across the $500+ billion sports industry.

I’ll be covering just a handful of the most important segments, 7 in total: agents, attorneys, financial & tax advisors, sports medicine, nonprofits, video games, marketing & advertising. Each segment will include a brief summary, followed by a description of NIL’s impact today and in the future.
